I am so very ready for the weekend. The beginning of the week started out with me needing so much sleep time and rest! I don’t know why I’ve been feeling so drained these days. But there’s nothing like a cute little styling up won’t help cure. Here I am with this colorful little dress and booties bright. Styling up a cute outfit helps improve your mood- and that’s a fact (remember my Dopamine Dressing post?). Much needed this week was color, patterns and more color (even when styling black).
And then Wednesday came along. Don’t you love Wednesdays? So here is a bit of sparkle- which you know I adore. Remember how I told you I refuse to call anything loungewear anymore? Well, here’s my fancy laid back- at home- look; shimmer, sparkle and all! Perfect diversion to reality: Did you know Montreal had an emergency code alert buzzing through all our phones and Tv’s? Yes- you heard that right. An Alert to remind us of the accrued policing and fines for anyone daring to get together for Christmas. And, that my friends, warranted a threat alert…Ok…So this is where we’re at. Moving along! This picker-upper could not have come at a better time!
Even though I’m doing my Holiday contract work for Chanel ( Thursday to Saturday), I still get that weekend vibe. I have to admit that going in goggled up and masked isn’t the easiest thing…but I’m getting used to it. But after taking this Before and After Shift pics…wow- I look drained (must be the lack of oxygen behind that mask lollll! What do you think??
So now- I’m obviously ready for the Partyyyy! It’s time for FABULOUS FRIDAY’S LINKUP!!

Yes to all the brights and sparkles! While I don’t have any shiny things in my closet (maybe one top), I did have fun styling all my vests this week. Next, I am going to wear all of my winter scarves! I sure am having fun with my closet.

Yay! I’m all for fun in our closets! Don’t you find the most amazing pieces hiding in there? Have a great weekend xx
You definitely brought on the sparkles, and I love it!! I agree with “dopamine dressing”- such an instant mood lift… and no untoward side effects! Cute outfits, Lucy.
Thanks so much! And- yes it really is all about dopamine dressing! Thanks for reading:)
You are simply a darling!! Thanks!! Have a great weekend hun xx
Love all of the outfits here, Lucy. From the sparkly grey to the kaftan and leggings, gorgeous! have a fabulous weekend my friend.
Alison xx
Thanks Allison!! Have a wonderful weekend too xx
Love the jewel tones in your dress! Beautiful outfit!
While I get your frustration with the limits your government is demanding due to Covid, here in the US, the Trump administration doesn’t give a rats how many people die or whether our hospitals are over capacity and healthcare professionals must ration care and send patients home to die – patients that might have had a chance if they had access to healthcare. With over 3000 dead per day, everyday, we are having the equivalent of a 9/11 everyday. So I wish our government was a bit more like yours.
It’s all so very frustrating and sad.

Too true, Michelle. What a sad time for our country, Canada, my mom’s country of birth, seems to have gotten it right–and much better than we have here in the US.
xx Darlene
I understand you Michelle- it’s a sad world right now. I don’t mind the limits that much..it’s the dictator approach I’m against. It’s becoming quite militant. Ugh- can’t wait til it’s all over!!
Yeah, militancy does seem over the top. I’m with you – I’m ready for it to be over! At least the vaccines are getting started.
We need a light at the end of this tunnel for sure!!
Oh yes, a good outfit always cheers me up. Enjoy your weekend, it’s wel deserved!
Thank you beautiful Nancy! xx
Aw, Lucy, thanks so much for the feature! You rock! What a story with the threat alerts going on. The whole damn world has gone crazy! But you still look marvelous through it all! I am loving your colorful outfit with those amazing pink booties. And your sparkles for at home are just magnificent! Well done, very well done. You have been inspiring me exponentially to not spend too much time in my lounge clothes!

Love all the sparkles and jewel tones! We had a text go out before Thanksgiving just that we should only get together via intermediate family, but no fines or police threats if we did! lol! Ahh, when will this madness be over?! Have a lovely weekend!
