This has been such an inspirational fashion week for me! I’m moved to go beyond my usual styling around this time of year. Fashion Revolution Week has me digging out all my upcycling, my mending, my vintage, my thrifts…I’m on a mission! Here’s what I’ve been upto this week:
It all started with this vintage jumpsuit that I posted for my Thrifty Six Collab:
Then I went onto posting about my Liz Claiborne skirt upcycling (These amazing tights are by Malka Chic):
I threw in a bit of mending along the way. I love mending the Japanese method of Sashiko for mending jeans:
And, not sure if you saw this gorgeous blanket I showed (on Instagram)- but here it is as a long vest/ Dress!
Here’s me doing my OOTD selfie thingy:
And for today…basically rewearing some of my closet faves: Glitter jeans I got in Greece years ago (locally made), a white blouse which I cropped out the sleeves (coz I’m always too hot!); a thrifted bustier, a vintage leather jacket and old strappy sandals that are back in trend!
OOTD clip for this one…
Loved participating in my small ways to Fashion Revolution Week. This should not be a yearly thing…it needs to be an ongoing thing!!
How have you participated in making fashion a safe, clean and better alternative for everyone and everything?
And it’s now time for my FAVOURITE FASHION DIVA from last week’s Linkup Party: Sheila from Ephemera Blog! I’m especially crazy about that leather jacket!!!
FAVOURITE READ from last week’s Linkup Party was by Penny of Frugal Fashion Shopper for her post: My First Charity Shop Buys Since December! (She got a real Balmain blazer you guys!!!).
Please be sure to link up your posts with me every Friday – you may be the next one featured here!!

Wow! So many great and colorful looks! I just love how creative you are with all your outfits!
Thanks so much sweetie- that’s so kind! I love your style too 🙂
It would be such fun to have a rummage in your closet and see you in action with your transformations! I’m in awe of your talent. I can barely sew hems! X
Oh Gail this means so much to me coming from such an amazing fashionista that you are! Thanks so much!
All of these outfits are just too cute! I especially love the long, crocheted vest? Did you crochet this? Or is this an afghan that you modified? If so, how do you keep the afghan from unraveling?
HI Michelle! This was actually a blanket!! And yes, the unravelling had me freaking out! But I quickly crocheted around the armholes (the only place I actually cut out). I’ll be posting the IGTV some time next week and you can watch if you’d like to get a better idea:) xx
Lucy, you are SO cute! I love those glitter jeans from Greece–adorable outfit! And the colors in the knit vest/blanket look so great in your outfit! You are so darn clever and creative, my friend. Fun, fun, fun!
xx Darlene
Thanks so much! I’ve always loved this kind of creative stuff! xx
Lucy,
What a wonderful outfit. I’ve been struggling on how to continue to wear some of my blazers and this look was just what I needed for some inspiration. Also, I’m really grateful that you include that list of link-ups in your post. I’ve bookmarked it for future reference. I hope that you’re headed towards having an amazing weekend.

I’ve never heard that method of mending jeans, but it is really pretty! Love fun jumpsuit outfit on you!
Thanks so much Laura! Yes, it’s the way the Japanese always took care of their clothing. And there are some wonderful tutorials on YOutube as well:) xx
I actually just heard of Fashion Revolution for the first time the other day – such a cool initiative! I absolutely LOVE your outfit with the blue blazer and bedazzled jeans from Greece. How fabulous and street style-esque!!!

Whoa, there’s me! Thanks so much, Lucy!
I love your spangled jeans – so fun! I have a leather jacket the same shade as your blue one. Don’t you love it when “these old things” become trendy again? I wore business shorts today, lol.
Oh business shorts!! How cool!! You are so stylish my friend!
OMG, Lucy, where do I begin?! That afghan dress is remarkable! I love it. And those amazing sparkling distressed jeans, yes, please! I am getting so inspired by so many things you do, my friend!

I’m so happy to read this!!! Thanks so much! The main reason for ever starting this blog is for me to share as much as possible and to inspire- so if in some way I’m doing that, then I’m on the right track! That afghan wanna be was a blanket LOL!!xx
All of these outfits are fabulous! I absolutely love those distressed jeans with sparkles. Also, your tip on the white top is so good! Have a wonderful weekend!
Jill – Doused in Pink
Thanks Jill! Yes, cutting out the sleeves really helps for me! Have a great rest of the week! xx
Hi Lucy!
Love that the jeans sparkle! I wore a similar thing a few years back with a white blouse under a corset, love this look too with the white button down. The jacket is a great color on you!
enjoy your weekend

Girl…those giltter jeans really are fab!! You don’t get to appreciate them as much in the photos but in the video they totally shine!!
I remove the sleeves from some of my shirts when they start ripping…it’s such a great trick!!
