Fabulous Friday’s Linkup Party Time!

So it’s the weekend and I’m super hyped that Italy is in the Final’s for the Euro Cup!! The way I see it, to get to this point, both teams have got to be amazing. If all goes my way- there will be lots of partying and pics for you next week!

Charlie’s so into it!!

This week I haven’t been styling up much as I’ve been more concentrated on project corrections…as well as a big change in our home. My fourth child moved out- bitter sweet to say the least. How have I kept busy besides teaching? Lots and lots of rearranging and cleaning up. I’ve now got a whole new room to myself. For now, Ive moved more clothes into there and also my sewing machine/ mini desk. It’s actually supposed to turn into a guest room- or a grandchild’s sleepover room. My daughters want me to put the crib in there. But taking it one day at a time. Let’s see how this turns out…also have my youngest who’s eyeing this room big time! So lots of possibilities!

This pic taken as I’m writing this post lol!

So what have I been styling up??

Not very much to be honest! But!!! Let me show you what I received from Sock Candy!!

These are the cutest socks I’ve ever owned! Planning to style them up with a few vintage pieces. Giving me ALL the Gucci VIBES ever- don’t ya think?! Stay tuned:)

Then I also managed to find this magical duster from an estate sale. It is an adorable soft pink- although it’s coming off as peachy here. It’s not though. (Scroll down to Thursday’s look for another fun duster of the same type…)

Will style this one up soon!

I originally put it in my Insta stories to get some fresh ideas on how to style it up- or if I should alter it in any way. Check out the few seconds video and let me know in the comments!

Monday was a hair day- and it was crazy hot and humid- so you can just guess how the day ended with my hair…Tip to self: Walk the dog before getting your hair done.

Tuesday all of a sudden it got super cold. What?! Yeah. Jeans are always a good idea.

Here’s to another fun and motivating #wearitwednesday look! Honestly- these challenges are what get me going…Sometimes it’s so easy to just stay in loungewear- and I hate that (but I can easily fall into doing so!). So this was just what I needed this week! The theme was Summer Prints. And of course y’all know how much I LOVE florals. So here it is! What could be better than florals on white for summer- seriously?

Thursday- another chilly and gloomy day in Montreal…the weather here can’t stop switching from dread-awful hot and humid to dark and chilly! I decided to wear white again to cheer me up. Here’ me spiting the weather!

And here’s to Friday!! I want the weekend to sparkle- so here’s to darling sequin tops! And it looks like my obsession with vintage dusters is a real thing. Look how cute this white one is- so do you blame me for wanting to style these up? Oh and btw…this is the same duster that I wore for that Chanel pic you saw here– except that time I wore it backwards! Do you style up dusters?

Go with the flow and let it shine!

Let’s check out what my FAVOURITE FASHION DIVA from last week styled up! Here’s Jill of Doused in Pink in one of her 10 favourite pieces she can’t live without- honestly I had a hard time choosing which I like best! The Little black dress with pompom- tassels won!

And as for my FAVOURITE READ from last week- I loved: Who Put the Fruits Onto the Garments, by High Latitude Style. Which History of Fashion teacher doesn’t love more and more history- especially when it’s this fun to read!

    1. Hey Mireille- you made my day! I love to inspire!! Thanks beautiful friend, have a great weekend xx

    1. Love your posts always Nicole! Interesting facts and I always love the fashion! Have a great weekend xx

  1. My husband is 1/4 Italian and is cheering for Italy, but I’m cheering for England (not that I really care that much about footie/soccer!).

Look at you in that sequined tube top – that gives me such early 80s vibes! I love the duster, and I think you might remember my Armani one from a couple of weeks back? https://sheilaephemera.blogspot.com/2021/06/bigass-weekend-wrap-up-darth-sheila.html

I love those socks! I often buy funky socks, but I don’t wear them! I can only conclude that socks are not for me. I’m excited to see how you style them. Yes, very Gucci!

I say chop the hem on the pink peignoir. I think it will make it more modern and wearable.

Your outfit with the flat-forms, white pants, and leopard top/matchy jacket is my favourite – it’s very chic and looks effortless (but we both know these outfits take energy to create!).

Thanks so much for the link-party, Lucy! I’ll be joining you with my past week’s adventures!

    1. Oh Sheila you’re so wonderful to me! And yay Italy!! We won!! I’m not sure either how I’ll style up the socks but I can’t wait (right now it’s just way to hot!!). As for the duster- I kept it as is so far, and I’m loving it, but still thinking. I actually took a pic of it and you’ll see me post about it on this Monday’s Thrifty Six post! And I do love that white pants outfit too! This weekend I’ll be taking some time to binge read your blog! xx

  2. Lucy, I always adore your outfits – and usually, the wilder the better – but your blue and white outfit is just so fresh and summery. I love it!

I don’t know if you are ever looking for blog topics, but if you are could you explain just how you use Instagram, and find challenges? What your routine is in posting on Instagram? I’ve never got into the groove and think I’m missing something.

    1. Oh my! Michelle this is a great post idea! I will definitely do this! Ok, give me some time and I’ll post about this for sure- thanks for your trust in me and loving my style- it makes me so happy! And you know I love your style too and your creativity is incredible xx

  3. Such beautiful colourful outfits! I love the blue and white! But I think my favourite is your Wednesday white floral outfit – you wear it so well, white is just the best colour on you! And with no kids at home I imagine it’s easier for you to keep white clothes clean than it is for myself with the little kids and the messy dog running around, haha!

Hope you are having a good weekend 🙂 Thank you for the link up!

    1. Oh Mica I do love white! And it’s true that I get a lot less messier these days with only a 19 year-old left at home. But I have to tell you that I babysit my 2 baby grandsons quite a bit- so I still get dirty lol! And I have a big dog! Let’s just say that on those days…I’m not dressed in white Lol! YOu made me smile so much thinking about this! Have a great weekend xx

  4. So many cute looks and great inspiration. That vintage duster is absolutely gorgeous! While I would hate to cut it up (that’s just me–definitely NOT YOU! Lol!), I think it would look adorable with a peplum bottom. I always love to see Charlie, too. He is such a sport’s fan! Haha!

    xx Darlene

    1. Oh Darlene, the more something is vintage the more it breaks my heart to diy it! In fact I’ve almost made up my mind entirely that I won’t touch this one (at least not just yet!). In fact , this Monday I’ll be styling it up on my post for The Thrifty Six! Thanks so much hun, wishing you a fabulous weekend xx

    1. I can’t wait to figure out how to style these cute socks! Thanks Laura- have a great weekend x

  5. You inspire me to get out of loungewear and style something up! I just adore those socks – so cute! Have a good weekend, and may the best team win!

    1. We both have great teams! (But I’m glad mine won hehe! don’t hate me!!) England was fantastic:) Yes, it’s time we dress it up- I’m so ready…and yet here I am styling up dusters! Have a great weekend my friend xx

  6. OMG, Lucy, those new socks and vintage duster are magnificent! I can’t wait to see how you style them. All of your outfits are on point as usual! And your new room looks amazing. The weather has been super weird here as well. All cold and dreary and feeling more like fall than summer. But I don’t mind it so much. Yay for Italy making it to the finals! I will be cheering them on as well being half Italian myself! Have a great weekend.

  7. Hi Lucy, with your Italian roots, I’m not surprised you are rooting for Italy. I’m not a football fan at all, but as an Anglophile, I am rooting for England, although it’s fine by me if Italy wins! I think they both deserve to win.
Loving the sequinned top and those socks are the cutest ever.
I love vintage nightwear, and that duster is gorgeous. I’d probably leave it as it is, but the main reason for that is that I can’t sew, and it would end in disaster 🙂 xxx

    1. Thank you Ann! And yes, both terrific teams:) As for the duster, so far I’m not touching it! And I’ll be styling it up this Monday for my Thrifty Six post! Have a great weekend xx

    1. Thanks Emma! It’s a fun look and the socks are sooo good! Have a good weekend! xx
