Fabulous Friday’s Linkup Party-Bilingual Edition…

Last Friday we kicked off the weekend by going out for dinner with some friends we haven’t seen in ages. We went to Del Friscos, a fun resto that is well known for its delicious pizza..but something we didn’t know is that they have a live band on Friday nights! We had such a blast!

Genial!

Here’s a little look-Voir ici:

And this week was a lot of preparing materials for my fashion classes this week. So this got my creative juices going as I perused not only many of your fabulous blogs and social sites, but also all that’s going on Vogue’s Runway. I’m currently obsessed with Libertine. Their pattern mixing is just beyond…

Like I’ve said before, runway trends can be super inspiring for your own personal styling. And that does not mean you have to go out there and shop all that’s new! You can find many similar garments to form the looks, right there in your closet. If not, do not dismiss all the pre-loved places near your home or online! That will for sure get your styling mojo going!

This Wednesday I joined my fashionista pals of #wearitwednesday for our theme Shades of Blue. And of course, this was the perfect motivator for me to create a blue mixed pattern look. Here’s me in top to bottom shades of blue:

Mercredi passé, avec mes amies du #wearitwednesday, on a style toute sorte de nuances de bleuMe voici en bleu de la tête aux pieds :

As well, I dug up some of my polka dot faves and styled up 3 different looks. I love collecting anything polka dotted as you probably already know lol! I’m always super excited when I find the pattern in scarves like you can see here.

Which look do you prefer? Quel look preferez-vous?

If you’re interested you can check out my video clip which explains how I put these looks together (a little under 3 min):

    1. Thank you Michelle! Vogue runways always do it for me too. As for the bilingual post…let’s see how long I can keep that up lol! Everything takes so much work and effort in this blogging world- don’t you find? xx

  1. Lucy, great minds are thinking alike again this week since I also have a recent post showing polka dots. The way you styled up that fabulous skirt into three fantastic looks is brilliant. Polka dot mixing for the win! I hope you have a great weekend.

    1. Oh Rena I’ll go read for sure, you know that! Great minds do think alike- and nothing better than polka dots to get your pattern-mixing juices flowing! Have a great weekend my friend xx

  2. Ha, I wore polka dots just a couple of days ago! I love that skirt – good thing you don’t live closer, or I’d be raiding your closet, Lucy! I’m a big fan of dots – such a classic pattern.

Love your blue outfit. The thought of you making your blog bilingual exhausts me – it’s already just so much work to post! Kudos to you, my friend.

Joining the link party (thank you!) with my Mom-Day Adventure!

    1. You can come anytime Sheila and raid the closet as you like! About the bilingual…it really is tiring…but then again, in this province we have to do everything in French too if we do it in English- so kinda used to it – but yes, more than exhausting at times!! Thanks xx

  3. As always, I am inspired by your sense of color and pattern mixing. Such cute ideas with a scarf, Lucy!!

    xx Darlene

  4. I am crazy about polka dots and also look out for new pieces! I love the middle outfit best. Great pattern mixing in your blue outfit. Thanks for the linky!

    1. Oh Gail, polka dot prints are the best! The middle one is one I like also- but the third is my fave! Thanks xx

    1. Oh those runway inspirations are so good! The pattern mixing they’re styling is incredible. Thanks!

  5. Hi Lucy! I really love the polka dot outfit! wow, You come up with some creative combos! I love how the scarf top has the white dots and your skirt is the opposite with black. Beautiful! Sounds like a great time out too. I have a bit of a craving for some Italiano! I think it is fun to find inspo from the runway or designers as well!
