Fabulous Friday’s Link up Party- and I’m Back Home….

I truly never thought that a grandmother’s love could be this immense.  It feels like my grandchildren (I have two now! 10 months and the other 6 weeks)- are twice my children.  Is that weird to say? Because that’s how I feel…My babies had babies, so doesn’t that make me double the mom?  Wtv the case- I never knew I could love this deeply!

After a month and a bit, of helping out with the newborn over at my daughter’s, I’m now back home.  Have to get back into my styling, because honestly I lived in comfy-sloppies and flip flops for that whole month!  But it was so worth it spending time with them- I feel privileged and this will be precious moments I’ll cherish forever.

Before leaving I did cook up a storm so they’d have plenty of meals ready (we all know how there’s no time for anything when you’re a new parent!) Check out what I prepared:

Now time to get into this Fabulous Friday and the Fashion Diva of the Week:

Cheryl from North West Mountain Living

How darling is she in this white romper?!

Favourite Blog Post Link up Read of the week:

By Grace of Colour and Grace for her post on: Turning Grief into Growth: Celebrating my Wedding Anniversary

Such a touching and inspiring post- when all hope seems gone for good.  Loved it so much.

  1. Aw, what a wonderful time together. I bet they were so happy to have an extra set of hands around.

  2. You are totally a double mom, Lucy!! Only this time, you do get to go home sometimes! Lol! Ah, babies are so amazing. I can’t wait until my son has one. Has to find the right girl, get married, etc., in the meantime, however! Cute outfit, too!

    xx Darlene

  3. Sounds like such a wonderful time helping out! What a special time to be apart of. My cousin just had a baby (the first baby of any of my cousins!) and I really wish I could meet him. I know my aunt is so upset that she can’t go visit right now! (My cousin has some health issues so it’d be too risky.) But eventually we’ll all get to meet and I can’t wait for that day. 🙂

    Miles of smiles,

  4. The time you spent will be cherished by you all forever! Your food looked amazing, so extra sweet to stock them up with happy bellies! Have a beautiful weekend. xo

  5. Oh how sweet! I hope I will get to be a grandma one day! It’s such a special bond and I love seeing the relationship develop between my children and their grandmothers!

    1. How fabulous that you got to spend that time with your new grandchild. I look forward to when my children get married and have a family of them own.

      1. It was a real dream come true- and I feel so blessed:) It’s wonderful- you’ll see! xx

  6. Welcome back! It’s so nice that you were able to spend that time with your grandchild. I didn’t know just how much until my parents showed up and man, am I grateful. Those memories are precious and the time spent together priceless.
