When in doubt, wear pink…and silk! This is true even where the weather is still kind of shifty, like here in Florida. Silk is the most versatile fabric: keeps you warm when your chilly (think of a silk scarf)- and cool in summer; have your pick! And when there’s some pink in the mix of colors to bring out the best in the look- that’s what I call a perfect garment.
I don’t know how I got so lucky as to find this amazing little number all in silk, in a print of vibrant colours all on pink. The one thing I know is that this dress is all about ‘more is more, and less is a bore’- so you just know I had to add these incredible necklaces! I found them in a little no-name shop in Fort Lauderdale- where the lady gets all these amazing accessories from left-over stock from retailers. She sells them for peanuts! I mean…how could I resist? Isn’t the match so perfect?! And, you do know I am totally an outfit repeater…so, many of you have probably already seen me post it on my Insta feed. It’s just that good.
About the dress…The top half is in raw silk and the bottom half in soft, flowy, slippery silk- the blend of that makes the look all the more interesting- as does the color clash with the fluorescent lime, in my opinion. Just by thefeel and look of the material you can tell its quality. I also love that it has these convertible pockets as well.
And what about the necklaces?! I started wearing just the colourful one, and then I thought: Wait a minute, this dress is already such a statement- why not add even more lol!! So out came the red epoxy necklace as well. And yes, the collab was about wearing pink- considering how little I have in that colour- I think the whole mish mash of it all, absolutely works.
In love with this look!

“Go hard or go home!…
Thatās my approach to Februaryās Thrifty Six postā¦
The theme is āTickle Me Pinkā so Iām bringing you panic-attack neon mixed with blush, candy, lipstick, baby, shocking, fuchsia, cerise and magentaā¦
Less of a ātickleā, more of an unexpected physical assault! (in the nicest possible way)
I styled this riot of colour to see how much pink I could smash togetherā¦
ā¦itās not for shrinking violets but for me itās pink perfection!”

āThere is pink in this fabulous dress with pockets! The cardigan isnāt preloved but itās perfect with the dress. I havenāt worn the dress much because it is actually too short for my liking, but I adore the colors and the print. And the pockets! Did I mention it has pockets??ā

“I realized that I had styled a preloved bright pink dress for our Brighten Up January theme. And I had considered restyling that same pink dress again until I remembered this vintage pussy bow blouse that has a pink Taj Mahal print. I paired it with all white, including a preloved blazer, and lots of pink accessories. This outfit consists of both preloved and new items, including a preloved faux fur coat that you can see in my post! ”

Lucy, I am completely in love with this look as well! What a freaking fabulous dress with all of its bold vibrant colors. And those necklaces really are fun and so unique. I have grown a bit discontented with my necklaces lately and have been wanting more bold styles like these! You look fabulous, my friend! By the way, I downloaded the Betsey Johnson memoir your suggested for my road trip that starts today!
