FASHIONABLE FRIDAY, Go-To-Dresses & a Linkup

What can make summer styling any easier than a go-to dress? Not much really- slipping on a cute summer dress doesn’t get any simpler than just that. It’s easy, light, comfortable and quick. And- the best part is that most often than not you just have to change up the footwear and you’re good to go; from day to evening. Point in case with this little number you’ve seen me wear before (proud outfit-repeater!). Last Friday evening I wore this dress to a 60th birthday party for my girlfriend, Anna. Here I am with Loverboy.

This week was super hot here (cannot believe the fabulous weather we are having for August!) and so out came the linen again!

Linen is a choice. Let’s face it, not everyone wants creasing and even more creasing as the day goes by. And yet there’s an elegance to this madness, and I fall for it every year. This adorable apricot and white dress by Cynthia Rowley, was bought on a whim at Nordstrom Rack last winter in Florida. I’m living in it these days. I love the color blocking disposition and contouring detail, with buttons all along the side.

Midweek had me styling up some florals again. What I love most about this Vero Moda dress from The Hudson’s Bay, is the pale green aqua colour. Alone the colour would be rather bland. But with the florals bringing life to this pale green, it somehow transforms into such an original palette. Don’t you think? Loving how light and fresh this looks.

So, if I take an inventory of what I’ve worn most this summer, dresses win first place it seems. I noticed that was also the case for what I wore in Greece.
