September is upon us, as is all that’s fashion within this month- so I thought I’d give you a FASHIONABLE FRIDAY with this week’s styling recap.
(Vous désirez écouter le résumé en français? Voilà!)
Last Friday was the annual outdoor Festival de mode et design, here in Montreal. So of course my college, LaSalle College, participated! Our students designed and created all the looks- and it was incredible. I have to say that the creativity and originality were at another level. So gratifying as a teacher. So today I’m super thrilled to bring you a glimpse of this. Here’ my intro:
And here are a few of the looks:

The announcer was our very own Canadian singer and songwriter, now International celebrity: Patsy Gallant
The evening turned quite chilly compared to the extreme hot weather of the day before…so how to stay fashionably chic and warm?
Here’s my look for the evening: These VMD jeans with pearl hems are not only stylish, but super comfy due to the stretch in them. (Here’s a great tutorial if you want to add pearls to your hems!) The sheer top is not new and is by Coco Y Club

Throughout the week, a big part of this week’s styling review- and even more so because we’re in September; was the talk about ‘white after Labour day’, I dressed up a lot in whites. Even wrote a post about it- see HERE.

Another look this week was this adorable Celestino dress which I got in Greece this summer. What I love about it is that because of the long sleeves I can wear it in the cooler but still very sunny weather.
I’ve compiled a few looks that are similar to mine but cannot b found on the website directly because I’ve had them for awhile! Here’s my selection for you of similar garments as shown in this week’s styling recap:

Your students did a fantastic job! I bet that was a fun event. OMG! I love the idea of the pearls on the hem. I’ve got a couple of pairs of jeans I need to hem, but I’ve been putting it off because it’s boring. This will be fun! I always enjoy your outfits so much. You have a lovely way with color.

Such a fun diy Rena- you’ll love it! And yes, the event was incredibly amazing and I’m so very proud. Thanks!
Dang, I love a fashion show! That looks so fun, Lucy! I love the pearls on your jeans, and I say “Patooie and Pshaw!” to clothing “rules” like no white after Labour Day. Silly and archaic.
My apologies for not being around the last little while – life’s been a bit rough lately.
Fashion shows are so fun- I agree! And yes, what you said- no clothing rules it is! Don’t apologize hon, life has its ups and downs. I’ll drop by…xx
Your students did amazing! You must be so proud! And of course, you looked lovely!
